Take a 7-day Journey to a Tropical Paradise

Travel with us to install a solar system in Nicaragua while being immersed in Nicaraguan culture, learning about the country's rich history and making a difference. Together with up to 10 people on a guided 7-day trip, you will travel as a group with bilingual guides, enjoying Nicaraguan cuisine, music, scenery, and people and spend 3 days at the solar project site installing a solar system from start to finish. You'll participate in cultural activities during the rest of the trip visiting different parts of the country, all arranged by our team. We take care of all of your meals, accommodations, in-country transportation, and activities during the week so all you have to do is show up.

We are currently signing up travelers to bring solar to a woman-owned small business. Solar means her business can power electric devices directly from the sun during the day, which reduces the monthly electric bill and provides cost savings so the business can grow.

Many of our solar projects are funded through our international travel program and would not otherwise happen without your generous support. Space on our International trips is limited and trips are filled on a first-come first-served basis.

Millions of people around the world live without access to reliable electricity and rely on harmful, polluting alternatives like diesel and gas generators, kerosene lamps, and candles to see at night. Even in communities where the electric grid is present, the financial barriers are so high that electricity remains inaccessible and unreliable. Solar can provide clean, reliable electricity 24 hours a day, enabling people to access information, stay healthy, communicate with others, enjoy entertainment, start small businesses to generate income, and live a more comfortable life.
